Despite still sitting pretty on the other side of the globe, simulatenously freezing my lady lumps off in Berlin and being 5 euros off any form of internet access, the joyous news of Hot Water Musics miraculous reformation arrived to me in record time.

Though I was essentially informed via text message, I feel the news would perhaps have been best transmitted through a batman light that reached across continents or a cosmic reincarnation of the Star Of Bethlehem, the event was that life-affirming. The past month has officially been the month of happy and overdue reunions, especially following Rages famous announcement. Do we dare to sit and wait for more possible reunions, perhaps in the form of Face To Face, Refused, Boysetsfire, Suicide Machines or The Distillers??

Though at least from the perspective of my net-starved self there doesnt seem to be a lot of information on the exact reason for their second reunion, a lucky bastard who recently caught a live Chuck Ragan show suggested he may be looking to stretch out the vocal chords again. He said the usually chill tones apparent on Chucks live album translated to gruff Hot Water grunts, far more deafening than he was anticipating.

Whatever the reason, it was widely publicised that their split was initally caused by Chucks reluctance to tour heavily so lets cross all appropriate appendages in hope that hes ditched that minor setback in preference of a tour to Australia.
